ABOUT

What up!? My name is Tommy Gonzales, Im an artist out of Buckley Washington, originally coming from Lake Forest California. I grew up all about skateboarding and riding dirt bikes. Once I moved to Washington I eventually found snowboarding later in high school, and it was on from there. Wanting to snowboard as much as a could I worked up at the mountain and did whatever I could to be riding. After a knee injury I was chillin for a bit and decided to try my hand at school. I soon found out that wasn’t for me, and I should go another route, sorta... I went to the Art Institute of Seattle where I started honing in my design skills. I figured if this happens again I’ll have something I can use in the snowboard world to keep pursing my passion for riding. It has lead to me being able to ride and have the freedom to do so, but lets get back to it...

At the end of my AA I got the opportunity for an internship at Ride snowboards and that showed me where I needed to be as an illustrator and well rounded designer. At the same time I had a part time job at Rock.Paper.Sketch design studio where I was at for about a year. If you want to learn how to design fast get a job at an agency! You’ll be cooking in no time. After my time there I started networking and finding my own work little by little.

So far I have accumulated a wide range of knowledge in logo/brand design, product design, and making a good time of creatively working with others and small groups to produce some sick products.

I truly believe branding and the way a business shows itself off is like its first hand shake without meeting the customer. How do you want that interaction to be? I think by having a professional presence online and around you can hugely impact your sales positively and gain the customers trust too get them on board, and keep them coming back.
